In times when our planet and human well-being are under serious threats, researchers and industry need to collaborate, stay active and remain motivated. Therefore, we invite you to share your achievements in food technology, biotechnology, nutrition and other food-related disciplines so that we can learn from each other, inspire each other, connect, and make a real, measurable impact on this world.

Participants have two options for publishing their contributions:

1. Congress Proceedings Participants are invited to prepare their contributions according to the instructions for authors. Manuscripts should be up to five (5) pages in length and submitted electronically in their final form before the October 31st  deadline, including an abstract not to exceed 350 words. Submissions must include the title of the paper, the name and affiliation of each author, and the proposed topics into which the paper falls. All papers will undergo a peer review process. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings with an ISBN number.

2. Food Technology and Biotechnology is a diamond open access, peer-reviewed international quarterly scientific journal published by the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology. It is an official journal of Croatian Society of Biotechnology and Slovenian Microbiological Society. Journal Ranking (2020, Scimago): Q1 (Chemical Engineering – miscellaneous/Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering); Q2 (Food Science/Biotechnology). All papers will undergo a peer review process and will be published as special issue. Instructions for authors are available at the journal website.


Poster instructions

Posters will be organized into conference sections (according to topics) and displayed electronically both on spot (on screens and a touch screen), and on the conference web page. Poster presentations will be accessible on line (on the congress web page) at any time and displayed throughout the whole conference. On the screens at hotel Academia, posters will be rotated according to the scheduled programme (preliminary version is attached to this e-mail).

Posters should be submitted by 14th of November in order to create full poster sessions. Poster should be submitted to Tibor Janči at mail address tjanci@pbf.hr.

Since the poster presentations will be in digital form, they should be submitted in PDF. Also it is very important to follow the instructions of the size of the poster. It should be 16:9 in landscape format. Poster presentations must be written in English language.

We recommend that you prepare the poster presentations in power point since this size and landscape format is applicable to it. All files will be transformed to PDF and therefore you should not use any animations or links on the posters.
